Is carbon tetrafluoride toxic or not?

Carbon tetrafluoride is a colorless, non-toxic, odorless, non-flammable, compressible gas with high volatility. It is also one of the most stable organic compounds, insoluble in water. So is the tetrafluoride toxic or not?

Carbon tetrafluoride was first made pure in 1926. It is mainly used for plasma etching of various integrated circuits and as a laser gas and refrigerant. Carbon tetrafluoride is sometimes used as a cryogenic coolant. It can be used in the manufacture of circuit boards, as well as in the manufacture of insulating materials and semiconductors.

Carbon tetrafluoride are non-toxic gases. The effects of inhaling carbon tetrafluoride are concentration-related, including headaches, nausea, dizziness, and damage to the cardiovascular system (primarily the heart). Prolonged exposure can cause serious heart damage.
