Amur GPP construction project progress
Gazprom, the global energy company, said yesterday that its Amur gas processing plant was currently being built at 61.9 per cent.
Once completed, Amur GPP will be one Of the world's largest gas processing facilities, serving a crucial link in the process chain Of supplying natural gas to China via the Power Of Siberia pipeline. Located near the town of Svobodny in the Amur region, it will have the world's largest helium production facility, with an annual capacity of 60 million cubic meters.
The plant will have six production lines, the first two of which are scheduled to open in 2021. The remaining lines will be in continuous operation by the end of 2024. Amur GPP is expected to reach its design capabilities by 2025. In addition to natural gas and helium, Amur GPP will produce ethane, propane, butane and pentane-hexane fractions.
