Classification of hydrogen production processes
Hydrogen can be prepared by a variety of process routes, including:
(1) Hydrogen production from fossil energy: hydrogen production from coal gasification, hydrogen production from natural gas reforming, hydrogen production from petroleum coke and residual oil, etc.
(2) Electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen: Power sources mainly include thermal power, hydropower, wind power, photoelectric and nuclear power, among which renewable energy is the ideal power source;
Formaldehyde hydrogen production device
(3) Industrial hydrogen byproduct: mainly including chlor-alkali industry, coal coking, ammonia synthesis, propane dehydrogenation, etc.;
(4) Photocatalytic hydrogen production, biological fermentation hydrogen production and other routes: still in the experimental and development stage, not yet meet the requirements of large-scale hydrogen production. Hydrogen production from coal gasification, natural gas reforming and water electrolysis are the most important methods.
