What are the use of different industrial gases (3)

nitrogen

Nitrogen, an inert gas, is the most abundant in air, accounting for about 78%. With the development of science and technology, nitrogen is increasingly widely used in all walks of life of national economy. Nitrogen is mainly used as protective gas, purging gas, carrier gas, drying gas, etc. Nitrogen is used as a protective gas in the process of metal heat treatment. The purpose is to improve the quality and finish of metal materials and parts. In the electronics industry, high purity nitrogen is an indispensable protective gas and carrier gas for semiconductor integrated circuit production process. Nitrogen is used as protective gas and carrier gas in the petrochemical industry to ensure the smooth and safe operation of petrochemical production. Nitrogen is also the main feedstock gas for ammonia production. In the production of float glass in building materials industry, nitrogen is used as the main protective gas in tin tank to realize float production process and improve the quality of glass. In the energy industry, nitrogen is used to strengthen mining and fire fighting in coal mines. Food industry application nitrogen as food packaging filling gas, fruit and vegetable nitrogen filling dry, fresh storage, juice, oil nitrogen filling oxygen, etc. Liquid nitrogen is used as a refrigerant and as a cryogenic source in medical applications. Nitrogen can also be used in rockets, space simulation, atomic reactors, gas lasers and other high-tech fields.

Argon gas

Argon gas is a rare, inert gas with high density and low thermal conductivity. Widely used in metal welding, smelting, processing and other protective gas, used in light bulbs and various discharger filling gas, gas chromatographic analysis carrier gas, but also used in lasers and surgery hemostatic spray guns, etc. Argon gas can be mixed with a variety of gases to make a wider range of special gases.

Carbon dioxide

Carbon dioxide is so versatile that it is second only to oxygen in usage. Carbon dioxide can be used to make carbonated drinks. As a fire extinguishing agent, carbon dioxide is widely used in the initial fire extinguishing of electrical equipment, precision instruments, valuable production equipment and books and archives. Carbon dioxide gas shielded welding, can be widely used in a variety of materials welding. Carbon dioxide used in organic chemical synthesis, can produce a variety of common chemical products, such as urea, salicylic acid and so on. Carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant to freeze food. The low temperature heat source can be used to generate electricity with carbon dioxide as medium. Using carbon dioxide as a solvent, supercritical extraction is an advanced operation technology for separating a variety of products and replacing traditional processes. Solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) is used medically to freeze skin diseases and can be used to create artificial rain. Use liquid carbon dioxide dry cleaning clothes, can replace toxic dry cleaning agent. High purity carbon dioxide is used in electronic industry, medical research and clinical diagnosis, calibration gas of testing instruments and preparation of other special mixtures.
