How are cylinders checked
First of all, the inspection of gas cylinders after you receive the goods mainly includes the following aspects:
Whether the cylinder has a clearly visible exterior colouring and warning label;
Whether there are serious defects such as corrosion, deformation, wear and crack on the surface of the gas cylinder;
Whether the accessories of gas cylinder (shockproof ring, bottle cap, bottle valve) are complete and in good condition;
Whether the cylinder has exceeded the periodic inspection period;
The condition of cylinders in use (full, medium, empty).
Special attention: quality analysis reports such as standard mixed gases, high purity gases, or other paper materials will be hung in or in the bottle cap.
We will also carry out regular inspection of the gas cylinders. The inspection period is as follows:
Cylinders containing corrosive gases (such as sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, etc.) shall be inspected every two years;
Cylinders containing general gases (e.g. air, oxygen, hydrogen, acetylene, etc.) shall be inspected every three years;
Cylinders containing inert gases (argon, neon, helium, nitrogen, etc.) shall be inspected every five years.
In case of serious corrosion, damage or doubt of the safety and reliability of the cylinder during use, the cylinder shall be inspected in advance. Cylinders exceeding the inspection period shall be inspected before being started.
Cylinders that have been in stock and out of service for more than one inspection cycle should be inspected prior to commissioning.
